MG217 Therapeutic Shampoo & Conditioner is a medicated 2-in-1. The Drug Facts panel lists 3% salicylic acid as the active ingredient, for the temporary relief of itching, scaling, flaking, redness and irritation of the scalp associated with psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis or dandruff. The panel also states that it helps prevent recurrence.

The conditioning side comes from the rest of the formula: panthenol, glycerin, and calendula and chamomile flower extracts. Massage it into the scalp, leave it for a few minutes and rinse.
