Once you've installed the Althy Vitamin C Shower Filter, you don't need to replace the entire unit every few months. Change the internal cartridge and keep the existing shower filter in place.
This three-pack is made for existing Althy filter owners who want their next replacements ready before they're needed. Each cartridge continues the same filtration approach as the main system, which uses multiple media designed to reduce chlorine and filter sediment and other specified impurities from shower water.
The manufacturer's filtration system includes calcium sulfite, activated carbon, redox media, Vitamin C, mineralised beads, zeolite and sediment filtration media. Calcium sulfite is specifically identified for chlorine reduction in both hot and cold water.

Seat the new cartridge, making sure the seals sit flush.
Hand-tighten the housing and run the shower briefly to check for leaks. Replace again in 3–4 months.
