UVC is line-of-sight technology. That means positioning matters: exposed surfaces receiving the light can be treated, while areas underneath fabric, behind furniture, around corners or in shadow won't receive the same exposure. Treatment effectiveness also depends on factors including distance and exposure duration, so this is a product to use deliberately rather than simply switch on and forget.
The other important distinction is the 189nm component. It generates ozone. That means this lamp is strictly for controlled operation in an unoccupied space and the manufacturer's operating, ventilation and re-entry instructions need to be followed.
