Matt J.ECZEMA CARE HAS TO WORK IN REAL FAMILY LIFE.
Epaderm Junior combines a proper emollient for dry, eczema-prone skin with the practical things that make regular use easier for parents and children. It moisturises and softens dry skin while leaving a barrier that helps retain moisture — important when eczema means moisturising isn't an occasional job.
The formula combines liquid paraffin, yellow soft paraffin and glycerine and is suitable for all ages, including babies. It's also fragrance, colouring, SLS, paraben and steroid free.

Yes — Epaderm give directions for it. Lather a small amount under warm water and use it instead of soap. They point to NICE guidance recommending that dry skin be washed with emollients rather than soaps and detergents. For a parent, it means one bottle on the bath edge rather than two, and one fewer product to run out of.
Epaderm define one measure as three pumps from the 150g bottle, and say children under ten should use half the guide amounts listed for adults. Emollient goes further than people expect — most parents under-apply rather than over-apply.
Epaderm list it as suitable for all ages including babies. It's fragrance, colouring, SLS, paraben and steroid free. As with anything new on a baby's skin, try a small area first, and if your child is under medical care for their eczema, mention it at the next appointment.
The fire warning above is the important one — emollient residue in bedding and clothing is a genuine hazard and worth taking seriously rather than skimming. Beyond that: external use only, keep it out of eyes, don't use it if your child reacts to any ingredient, and stop and get advice if their skin worsens. It's a moisturiser, and it doesn't replace anything prescribed.
