Product Details

Not every area needs a larger UVB lamp. The Ziree Z1109 is built around the opposite idea: a small treatment window for a small, defined area.

Nine 308nm UV LEDs sit behind a 4.5cm² exposure window, with Ziree specifying an output of 8.5mW/cm². The device is rechargeable, handheld and has time- and dose-controlled operating modes through its built-in display.

This is a UV device, not a skincare gadget. Read the safety information below in full before you buy, and speak to your GP or dermatologist before starting any UV phototherapy at home.

  • For small, localised patches — targeted UVB for areas such as hands, elbows and knees
  • 308nm UVB — nine LED light sources
  • 4.5cm² treatment window — concentrates exposure on one defined area at a time
  • 8.5mW/cm² specified output — with time and dose controls built into the device
  • Rechargeable handheld design — 180 × 40.5mm with no power cord while operating

How to Use

  1. Use the 4.5cm² treatment window over the small, localised area you intend to expose.
  2. Put on protective UV goggles before operating the device and avoid direct exposure to the eyes.
  3. Hold the treatment window at the manufacturer-specified working distance of 1cm ± 0.5cm from the skin.
  4. Use the device's built-in time and dose controls according to the manufacturer's instructions and the guidance provided by your doctor or dermatologist. Do not exceed the recommended exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big an area does it cover?

4.5cm² — roughly the size of a large postage stamp. It's built for one small, defined area at a time rather than a forearm or a back.

Do I need goggles?

Yes. Ziree specify protective goggles during operation. Check what's in your box on arrival and don't operate the device without eye protectio

Is it corded?

No. It runs on a rechargeable lithium battery, so you can hold and angle it freely while it's in use and charge it between sessions.

Is this suitable for me to use at home?

That's a question for your GP or dermatologist, and we'd rather you asked them than took our word for it. Ziree themselves state the device is for clinical use or for home use under a doctor's guidance, and they list a number of conditions under which ultraviolet therapy should not be used at all — please read the safety information above in full before ordering.
